Incubator → Genome → Birth
A proposed design starts with an experimental container, an initial specification and an observable starting state. These are architecture labels, not claims about biological life.
An SST project
Ideas developed into testable systems.
A structured environment for exploring, prototyping and evaluating new SST technology concepts.
Project overview
SST Incubator is a proposed research environment and architecture for growing, observing and testing intelligent-system ideas. It organises hypotheses, experiments and reports rather than presenting a finished autonomous intelligence.
01 / Context
Long-horizon AI ideas are difficult to evaluate when experiments, internal state and observations are disconnected. A repeatable environment is needed to ask precise questions about learning and adaptation.
02 / Method
The Incubator frames a controlled research loop: define an initial design, expose it to a bounded world, observe its experience, run experiments and report what happened. Each layer remains subject to validation.
03 / Category
The scope below describes work being explored and later directions. It does not imply that every capability is available today.
Specify separable parts for a system, its environment and its observations.
Compare hypotheses under documented conditions and review outcomes.
Investigate prediction, retention, forgetting and adaptation as research questions.
Study whether internal structures can change usefully without losing traceability.
Explore responses to new situations and representations of a system and its environment.
04 / Maturity
Research. The Incubator describes an experimental architecture and research programme. Its stages are not evidence of AGI, consciousness or a deployed self-developing system.
05 / Horizon
A disciplined environment in which evolving-system ideas can be tested, challenged and improved through repeatable evidence.
Research focus
A proposed design starts with an experimental container, an initial specification and an observable starting state. These are architecture labels, not claims about biological life.
A bounded agent and environment would create observations that can be inspected. Prediction, memory, forgetting, homeostasis and novelty are questions for experiments.
The final layer describes hypothesis design, controlled runs and understandable reporting. Results must be assessed before any broader claim is made.
SST ecosystem
SST Incubator is research infrastructure in AI & Intelligence. CLOS poses a distinct long-term hypothesis about internal representations that could be investigated within such an environment; neither is a finished product.
